Derwent’s uniquely formulated pastel shades paints are soft and light. They can be layered for a brighter finish, without dissolving previously dried layers. Alternatively, these contemporary, light shades can be applied delicately for a soft, light wash, or used with Derwent’s Inktense paint sets to create dramatic effects.
This compact, self-contained set contains 12 pastel paint pans, a mini waterbrush, five mixing palettes and a sponge to clean your waterbrush.

The History of Derwent goes back to 1916 in Keswick, England, when it was known as The Cumberland Pencil Company. But the tradition of pencil making in the area goes back to 1832. With a new factory opened in Lillyhall, England in 2008, Derwent looks to continue this heritage far into the future and continue making most of their products in the UK. They have a long history of safety and innovation, each product is subject to rigorous testing, for strength and lightfastness. All Derwent products are non-toxic and some are even vegan.
